How to use oddjobs.imas a practice

Practice workspace: enquiry queue, profile, public presence, calendar, plans. Browse & enquire - never public symptom cards. Not clinical software.

Practice workspaceEnquiries not job cardsNever clinical advice

What the medical workspace is for

On oddjobs.im, medical practices use a dedicated Health door - not the trade job board. Patients browse clinics and clinicians and send appointment enquiries. You manage those enquiries, your practice profile, public presence, calendar, and plan in the medical dashboard.

Not clinical software. This is practice product software only - not a clinical records system, not triage, not prescribing, and not for emergencies. For emergencies call 999 or local urgent care.

  • Public Health door: /for-health.php
  • Sign in: Login → Medical
  • OJ Bot (Dr OJ / Secretary mode): how-tos only - never medical advice
  • Plans: Solo / Practice (see My plan)

1. Register and sign in

  1. Open Register and choose I’m medical (when the Health vertical is live).
  2. Verify your email if prompted, then Login with the Medical option.
  3. You land on the medical dashboard (practice workspace).

If Health is temporarily closed in Access control, public registration for medical may be hidden - ask the site operator.

2. Overview (home)

Home shows recent enquiries, quick actions, and profile completeness tips so patients see a trustworthy listing.

  • Open the enquiry inbox for new patient requests
  • Finish profile and public presence so browse listings look complete
  • Use Messages for platform support chat (not clinical notes)

3. Enquiries (appointment requests)

Patients request appointments from the public Health door / your presence. Enquiries land in your dashboard - not as public “job cards”.

  1. Open Enquiries in the left nav.
  2. Filter by status: new → contacted → booked → closed.
  3. Open a row to see name, contact, preferred times, and the short reason line.
  4. Update status as you progress the request in your own clinical systems.
  5. You can also log an enquiry manually (walk-ins / phone) with a non-clinical reason line.

Keep reason lines high-level (e.g. “hearing check request”). Do not paste clinical notes into the platform or into Ask OJ.

4. Practice profile

Profile feeds your public listing and enquiry experience. Typical fields:

  • Practice / clinician name, photo, bio
  • Contact details and location on the Isle of Man
  • Registration-style credentials (e.g. GMC / GDC / HCPC style fields - as product text, not verification of clinical fitness)
  • Accepting new enquiries toggle - turn off when you are full
  • Consultation note shown to enquirers

Save after edits. Incomplete profiles get fewer serious enquiries.

5. Public presence

Public presence is how patients discover you on the Health door and any public practice page. Keep photos, services, and contact accurate. Presence is marketing/product surface - not a clinical website CMS with records.

6. Calendar

Use the in-app calendar for practice scheduling aids and any ICS / feed features your plan supports. Treat it as an operational helper - definitive appointments live in your clinic systems.

7. My plan (Solo / Practice)

Open My plan for Solo vs Practice pricing, trial status, and upgrade/cancel when PayPal billing is live. List prices come from the site’s professional plan catalog.

8. OJ Bot on medical

Use the floating helper in Dr OJ or Secretary mode for product how-tos (where is enquiries, how to mark booked, profile fields).

  • OJ will refuse medical advice, triage, and diagnosis
  • Do not paste patient identifiers or clinical detail into Ask OJ
  • Emergencies: 999 / local urgent care - not this inbox

What this is not

  • Not an NHS pathway or clinical EPR
  • Not a place to post public medical “jobs” or symptom cards
  • Not mixed with tradie estimates or legal matter boards
